Contd......
MB1C:
Initial load of inventory
When a new system SAP system is brought into production a number of tasks needed to be completed to make the transaction from the legacy system to the new SAP system as seam less as possible . When placing a legacy inventory system the inventory on hand in the ware house needs to be entered into the SAP system to reflect the current situation. To facilitate this we use the goods receipt process to load the inventory via specific movement type
The movemet types that can be used for this T code are
561 Goods receipt for initial entry of stocks balances into unrestrictted
563: Goods receipt for initial entry of stock balances into qty inspection
565: Goods receipt for intial entry of stock balances into blocked stock
The three scenarios where the material can not be received by normal procedure these include
Goods with no production order
Goods from production that are by products
Goods that are free goods
Hope this helps you out
In case of any clarification do get back
Reward points if this information is helpful to you
Thanks & regars

Hi Paul,
A stock transfer can occur physically for example by moving material from one storage location to another or logically moving stock from quality inspection status to unrestricted. Stock transfer normally refers to a physical move while transfer posting usually describes the logical move
MB1B:
Movement of material can be carried out by either by one step procedure or a two step procedure
Execute the transaction code and enter the movement type 311 which is for one step procedure between storage locations
Subsquent to a movement type 311 there is a possibility of reversing this movement by using movement type 312 this should be used if an error has been made
On the item data screen for transaction MB1B the receiving storage location and material to move should be entered with the relevant qty and batch number
Two step procedure will be similar it uses two movement types
313 & 315
Movement type 313 removes material from one storage location & 315 places the material into the receiving storage location. Since movenet of the material between storage locations is not instant as with one step process the materials are with different status as the movemet progress .
Note: CHK for stock levels after executing movemet type 313
and then after executing mvt type 315
MB1A: Planned Goods Issue
When a production order is planned the system can produce a reservation for the material the goods isue to the production order can refer the reservation
In the initial screen of goods issue it will ask for the movement type. For goods issue of materials to a production order mvt type used is 261
it requires the inventory user to enter the production order number along with material number and qty
Once the transaction is posted material documetn and accounting document are produced

I use these transactions only for batch inputs, because you can use MIGO for goods movements, and MIGO can do everything what these 3 transactions do. Only ..... MIGO cannot be used for batch inputs.
