Making Mass Configurations in the Integration Directory of SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 / 2004s

Have you had situations where you needed to change your integration configuration externally without the use of the Integration Directory (ID) tool, or needed to change or create objects on a massive scale such that using the GUI tool will take too long to be acceptable? The ID API might be able to solve your problem. This lecture will describe mass configuration and show how to make mass configuration changes in the Integration Directory. It will discuss the prerequisites and situations when we would want to do this and its benefits.

I found this documentation, but was not able to figure out the steps to be taken to use this ws..

We are working not netweavers 2004s, in the integration repository i see the external definition (wsdl) CommunicationChannelService

Wen i look in the webservice navigator i cannot find it.

There is slight difference than the doc mentioned by Stefan. e.g the restrictions on usage of Direct Connections
