Plant abroad without "Plant abroad function" activated, currency conversion

79 Views

Dear SAP-gurus,

I am working with a SAP Retail system. We have several stores around the world and some of them are franchise. We are now changing the sales flow so that it also will have SAP a primary system. Sales in the store will be posted in SAP via a POS interface. This works fine as long as the plants are having the same currency.

We are using a dummy company code where we have placed all franchise stores, just to keep track of sales (without any legal obligations on accounting). This dummy company code have SEK a company currency. When a sale in a Polish store (with Zloty as currency) is to be posted in the dummy company code the following message appears;

"Enter rate PLN / SEK rate type for 2008-05-20 in the system settings"

We have checked that we have the right currency translation in category M in tcurmnt. But as you can see in the error message, there is no currency category between type and for. This might be se because Plants abroad is not activated in the system, because then it would be possible to set a category for each country abroad.

We don't want to activate plants abroad, since it comes with a lot of cons as well. Is there any other way to make the system find a standard currency category to calculate the exchange rate?

Best regards

Carl-Johan
