Thanks

    Hi

I don't know whether you have tried it but there is a fairly comprehensive standard report in SBO - 'Serial number transactions report'.

      Hi Julie,

You are right, after extensive searches and posting requests for help, I realised that a cell's value cannot be referenced within the ixGetData() Function.

      THIS SUCKS

Especially when the table data being returned consists of more than 65500 rows (Max Excel 2003 Rows), and the data has to remain on the spreadsheet for the VLookup to function, or the Data has to be Copied and Pasted as Data without the Functions, and then the Lookup Data Deleted using VBA or a Macro. CRAP

Surely the XL Reporter Developers thought of this Lack of Functionality

      Thanks guys for the replies.

    Hello Noor MC Jooma

Please try to create the report from the 'Stock

Management' tab in XL Reporter using 'Item' and 'Serial Number' as two of the

selection criteria. This will extract the information from the OINM

    table.

    please kindly have a try.

      Hi

Wilma - I did use the Item Dimension and the Serial Light Dimension in my report composer. The problem, i think, is that the Serial is not a Dimension and I cannot get all the other "Properties", like Mnf Serial Number and Expiry Date, for that serial number. The Serial Light Dimension shows the OSRI.IntrSerial. I also want to display the OSRI.SuppSerial and others. So I need to use the OSRI.IntrSerial to "LOOKUP" for the other properties in the OSRI Table. How do I achieve this? I know the Function "Get Other Data" is used for this and i have the OSRI.IntrSerial in a cell in my repetive row...

How do I use the "GET OTHER DATA" / "ixGetData" to read the OSIR.IntrSerial Value to return the OSRI.SuppSerial.

I tried a few variants but here is a sample of my function -

      =ixGetData("sa", "xnE_q;-", "OSRI", "SuppSerial", "IntrSerial = " & CELL(J8) & "")

      Helen,

I need this report emailed on a schedule base as an Excel Spreadsheet and i dont think the Std Reports in SBO will accomplish this.

      Thanks guys
