Hi, Osvaldo,
I've checked your case and found out you have 3 user accounts registered to the same email address.
2 s-user accounts (one of which you are most probably using at work, since its certificate is installed in your browser, hence the login is automatic). These users belong to the company you are working for.
Additionally you have a p-user account, which a regular public user, that you created by going through a self-registration (Register) process.
Your osvaldo.lopez username is already taken by your P-user. That is also the account that you use with the SAP Community.
When you triggered the forgot password by email, you have probably used one of the s-user accounts recently and thus the process was triggered for the last used account - which is the s-user. The s-user was never used in SAP Community, hence you were asked to "upgrade" your account, provide a username (which is like a nickname or displayname in a forum), and agree to TermsOfUser and etc.).
To my understanding you'd like to log in with your frequently used SAP Community account (which has all your content and etc.), for this purpose, if you don't recall your password for the p-user account, but can log in at work with it you can do one of the following:
1. If your password is saved in your work computer in one of the browsers - you can search in a password manager relevant to the browser you are using (e.g. Chrome: Settings->search Manage Passwords, search by website url to find your user & password)
2. At your work, once you have logged in with your usual auto-login go to accounts.sap.com - there you will find data about your logged in user, and also the userIDs associated with your email address. This way you'll find your P-user ID and can trigger Reset Password process at home using this ID instead of the email. This way you'll reset the password of your p-user and will be able to log in with it at home. Please note, however, that if you change your password, you'll probably will have to update this password at your work computer next time you'd like to login with it.
Let me know if this helps.

Vladimir
My rules :)
1. Use different e-mails for all accounts you have (you can change e-mail for S-ID).
2. Use different browsers for P-ID and for S-ID (in my case Firefox for P-ID for Community activities and IE for S-ID for notes and software download).
Not very comfortable, but the only way with existing SAP authentication method.
Hi, Osvaldo,
Wanted to follow up if you were able to resolve the issue you were facing above.
If not, let me know, what is the current status and we'll continue the discussion from there.

Vladimir
