All right, I uses my account from my office and from my house.

Here (at office), I visite https://answers.sap.com and log-in without user/pass, so I'm writing about this problem right now.

Yesterday, at my house, I visited the site, and it ask me user and password. So I completed the form, and pops up this:

All right, that emails is this:

So I clicked to reset my password on that link (from the email).

New chrome's tab opened with new form:

Upgrade... ? (well, let's do this)

User name: "osvaldo.lopez"

But... error and error and error again !

Why so complicated!

So I can't "Upgrade" my account.

I closed that tab, and re-enter to SAP.com site, trying to log-in, but a new error shows up:

(At least in spanish lol)

Where can I fix this problem?

My rules :)

1. Use different e-mails for all accounts you have (you can change e-mail for S-ID).

2. Use different browsers for P-ID and for S-ID (in my case Firefox for P-ID for Community activities and IE for S-ID for notes and software download).

Not very comfortable, but the only way with existing SAP authentication method.

Hi, Osvaldo,

I've checked your case and found out you have 3 user accounts registered to the same email address.

2 s-user accounts (one of which you are most probably using at work, since its certificate is installed in your browser, hence the login is automatic). These users belong to the company you are working for.

Additionally you have a p-user account, which a regular public user, that you created by going through a self-registration (Register) process.

Your osvaldo.lopez username is already taken by your P-user. That is also the account that you use with the SAP Community.

When you triggered the forgot password by email, you have probably used one of the s-user accounts recently and thus the process was triggered for the last used account - which is the s-user. The s-user was never used in SAP Community, hence you were asked to "upgrade" your account, provide a username (which is like a nickname or displayname in a forum), and agree to TermsOfUser and etc.).

To my understanding you'd like to log in with your frequently used SAP Community account (which has all your content and etc.), for this purpose, if you don't recall your password for the p-user account, but can log in at work with it you can do one of the following:

1. If your password is saved in your work computer in one of the browsers - you can search in a password manager relevant to the browser you are using (e.g. Chrome: Settings->search Manage Passwords, search by website url to find your user & password)

2. At your work, once you have logged in with your usual auto-login go to accounts.sap.com - there you will find data about your logged in user, and also the userIDs associated with your email address. This way you'll find your P-user ID and can trigger Reset Password process at home using this ID instead of the email. This way you'll reset the password of your p-user and will be able to log in with it at home. Please note, however, that if you change your password, you'll probably will have to update this password at your work computer next time you'd like to login with it.

Let me know if this helps.

Vladimir

Quoting... ah, sorry, no quote code, so "code" for quote:

"When you triggered the forgot password by email, you have probably used one of the s-user accounts recently and thus the process was triggered for the last used account - which is the s-user. (...) "

Check that I did not trigger nothing. I knew my password at home, and when I logged in the "SAP Cloud Platform" pops up and said what I told you. :(

At home, I logged in with my username (osvaldo.lopez) and my password. Just for the records.

The normal and mortal users, did not know about P-Users, S-Users, Etc. Just know the "username" and that's all.

So... I understand that I have a normal account (P-User), my account when I certificated SAP FI, and... what else?

Can't you just merge the account's ?

Where can I mail for personal details with that's account so I can upgrade emails for the others account such Vadim Kalinin said?

Nothing can be merged :)

You can change e-mail for your S-ID here: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/user/profile

From this page: "Profile linking does not combine the accounts in any way or consolidate the content list or the reputation. The content lists and reputation of each account remain separate, although they are displayed together"

Actually linking is just providing a link, nothing more :) Ha-ha!

Now I logged in from my office, with my email, and other account shows up.

This is very very BAD !!!

Login using your SID or PID, not using email! As I already told you - make all e-mails different!

0

Use different email for PID and SID and use different browsers for SCN (where you login with PID) and anything else that requires SID. If you have certificates installed, make sure you have "auto-select" disabled in the browser that you use for SCN with PID, otherwise it'll try to log you into SCN with SID.

This is the only way to get around here, sorry!

P.S. It's not just you.

Hi, Osvaldo,
JFYI, when you have more than one account registered with the same email, and you log in using the email, then the system will try to log the latest userID that logged in, that is in case the password for that account matches.
So as Jelena and Vadim have mentioned it's always best to use the actual User ID in the login form. I also mentioned previously that after you log into the system, you can go to acccounts.sap.com - where all the accounts (userIDs) associated with that email will be displayed.

Also you mentioned above login in with username. That is not possible, as that is not supported. The username field as like a Twitter handle or forum nickname/displayname. Logging in with is possible with userID, and email, mainly.

Hi, Osvaldo,
Wanted to follow up if you were able to resolve the issue you were facing above.
If not, let me know, what is the current status and we'll continue the discussion from there.

Yes and no.

I can't understand how ONE email have 3 accounts!

So... I reset all my users, and yes, I logged-in again.

For the moment I will cross my fingers so my session does not log-out.

The user system is really a suffering. Will not they ever fix it?

Hi, Osvaldo,
In case you'll ever need to reset a password for any of your user accounts, this tool will be really helpful to show all your users and some data: https://accounts.sap.com/ui/protected/profilemanagement
And once you know all your userIDs please always use them to log in with the required user account.

Vladimir
