How to derive higher level Org Units?

Hello all experts,

We have a requirement where we need to derive the 1st level and 2nd level Organizational Units that the employee's own position/org unit belongs to.

Ex. If the organizational structure goes like the following from top to bottom:

O1 incorporates O2

O2 incorporates O3

O3 incorporates O4

...

O(n-1) incorporates O(n)..

The employee is tagged to O(n), which we can see from his infotype 0001 record, but in certain reports we need to derive what is the O1 and O2 for this employee.

Any idea how we can manage this?

Using evaluation path O-O with this FM, it is indeed possible to derive the higher level org units..

use the right evaluation path and you will get the data
