Hi Guru's,

Help me in the following SAP Script Issue.

I create a customised page format with width 229 mm and height 92 mm. and i also configured this in spad for the printer with the help of basis person.

In the script i selected this page format. This script have only one page. whenever i tried to print this document on the printer for the first page it prints fine but for the second page the printer skips more page than the width we specified in our page format.

we are using the dot matrix printer EPSON-LX300+.

Please help me how to resolve this issue.

Thanks in Advance.

Anand.

Hi Everyone,

We are facing similar problem in smart forms.

We created a new page format for our page size but when we print the printer is rolling page up till A4 size only.

So first page is printing fine and when it comes to second page the data is going up a little bit and third page even more.

our paper size is 306MM height and 231MM width, but the printer is not taking this height.

But when i use any standard page formats , then the printer responds according to that.

Please help us.

1. Choose Administration --> CCMS --> Print --> Spool Administration, Full Administration and then Format Types on the Device Types tab page

2. To create your new format, on the next screen choose Change and then Create or Create with reference.

3. Give the format a name starting with Y or Z (the reserved namespace for customers). This avoids conflicts with SAP standard formats. The format and page format names should be identical. If, for example, the page format name is ZDINA3, the format must also be called ZDINA3.

4. In the field Type, enter S (Format for SAPscript).

5. Select a page format.

6. Select the fields Portrait and Landscape. These fields are purely documentary and have no effect on processing.

7. Save your entries.

These are great instructions. After following these steps, how do I then make it available to a specific Output Device (MAIL)?

Ok, I have a ZDINA7 created and being now used by my zebra zt230.
now I want the other printer, zm400 used the same ZDIN7. Is it possible or do I need to clone a ZDINA7B?

thanks

Well  i have the answer now, that might help someone.

go to sp01 / and change the Device Attribute / device type to the same and it works like a charm!

Hi Anand!

I have a similar problem with my sapscript, and in my case, it's happening because of the printer default settings, but it doesn't have the format size I want in the printer settings to choose.

When you solve your problem, please let me know how. Maybe we are facing the same problem.

Maybe you should take a look at this:

Hi,

go to SPAD, then you can click 'Full Administration' button on application tool bar,

then click on divice tab,

now you have option 'page format'.

click on that. it will show all the page formats which are available already.

if you want to add new page format or delete any...

click on change button on aplication tool bar.

now you can add or delete page format.

if it is helpful...plz give reward points

Hi,

In SPAD, go to full administration, and go to Device type, give the name of your device type, and go to the formats in the next screen, check whether the page ZPAGE1(for eg.) is attached to this device type, if it is not attached, you need to attach it by choosing the change mode option available, if it is attached, doublick on it, and go to 'formats' tab page and there 'End of page' & 'End of line' are in green colour.

Refer this:

Hi Shiva,

I already checked all these points whatever you suggested.

In the formats's tab End of page, End of Line displayed in green. Aparet of the Printer initialization and Reset after exit also displays in green.

But still the printer skips the more page to print 2nd page.

Actually i created this page format to print check.

There is any further settings arerequired to resolve this problem.

Thanks
