Join in cubes

Hi all,

Is it possible that i make join between two or more cubes.

I mean to say suppose i have two cubes cube A and cube B

cube A contain

material number. material-description -

Is it possible in BW if yes then please help me out.

Yes It is possible with a Multiprovider on these cubes.

I think multiprovider works as like Union between to or more cubes

i mean to say it featches all the record from both cube not common result.

If you are on BI 7 version, then you can use Infoset to join of the cubes. It is not available in earlier versions.

I create the infoset for the same but there is only two option for join either using ODS or using charactics directly how i connect two cubes in infoset.

As I said earlier, it is possible in BI 7 (NW04S) version.

Hi Ankit,

it looks like that you are using 3.5 or some earlier version of BI . In these versions you cannot use an infocube in the definition of an infoset. An alternative solution is the following.

Create a query in the first cube which will use a replacement path variable taking values from a query based in the other cube (i.e., use a pre-query). With that way you can achieve a join condition between the 2 cubes.

Looks like the structures of the cubes are similar with just different keyfigures, in the multiprovider just identify all keyfigures and chars from both the cubes.
