Reports and Analytics in cProject

Hello to all,

There is some type of Reports and Analytics in cProject?

We know the Reports and Analytics in xRPM, but we do not know that there is some in cProject.

We must assign to us some role specific?

Hi Jeniffer,

What do you mean Reports and Analytics exactly, may be BW (Business warehause)?.

You may check the evaluation functionality in cProject , if it fullfil your requirement.

In the Workset Reports and Analytics of xRPM under role Portfolio Management you can see BW information.

My question is if there is a functionality, permissions, roleu2026 etc that does the same but for cProject.

There are reports for cProjects, but I have not seen nor have I found anything that is set up similar to RPM's Reports and Analytics tab.

RPM has a set of iViews created, one for each report. This is set up in the portal content for RPM. If you have access to content administration (portal content studio) you can see what iViews exist for cProjects and RPM. This would be granted through a portal role. I'm not sure which one. This would only be to see what iViews exist though. This is what is making me think that the cProjects reports aren't available from the screens initially when you first install. I can look for the iViews, Worksets, Roles (portal) and I don't see any report related objects for cProjects.

cProjects has reports, but right now we are running them from BeX. We can run BeX from our Start menu on our workstations (Start -> Programs -> Business Explorer). An alternative is to run BeX from the SAP Easy Access menu when you login to the backend. You do need a backend role to be able to access the cubes and run the queries. For example, I have two roles assigned to me on our BI system (it is separate for us). They are ZBW-CPGBUSEXECUTE and ZM_BI-CP-FOLDER. I'm not sure if they created these from standard SAP roles or not. They set up it up so that I only have access to the cProjects reports since we are on a shared BI system. I don't have access to PFCG on this system so I can't see what they really gave me access to.

I'll have to continue this note later. My system is going to reboot in 2 minutes!

Hi Jennifer,

as Wendy's already hinted at, I can confirm that cProjects doesn't offer a similar functionality to xRPM's 'Reports and Analytics' .

In BIW however, there are BEX queries (which can easily converted into web-templates unless aready done), but the direct access via a link from cProjects to these queries does not exist and is (likely) not possible to provide without modification. Maybe such an iView Wendy's talked about can be included into the customer's tab, though.

I hope this provides the answer to your question, although it may not be the expected one.
