Data Transfer from 4.7 version system to 6.0 version system

Hello Experts ,

We have our FICO system is on 4.7 version. But our HR System is on 6.0 version. FICO (4.7) system is old one with all data. And HR (6.0) is being newly implemented....

We need some data from FI (4.7) system to HR (6.0) . In future if any changes happens in FI (4.7) system the same changes need to be done in HR (6.0) system too . For ex : If currency of particular country changed..Then as FI is imp we will make that chnage in FI box..We want to reflect the same change in HR box as well.....

We found 2 ways for this :

!) doing manually

2) Doing either by transporting or using ALE /IDoc method

We want to investigate ways to perform the same using 2 way as this is very simple. But we have doubts here... As HR is on 6.0 and FI is on 4.7 ..... Can we transport data using transports ??? (between2 different versions /??)

If transports are not done , then we do that using ALE/ IDocs? using IDoc's we gerenally send transctional data... This configuration settings comes under master data ... can we send this master data using ALE/ IDoc or LSMW..If yes suggest us the msg types ...or other needed info,.
