HI

We use FCC parameters when the files arent in XML format. SAPXI only understands XML Language, so inorderto send files such as text,etc n in turn the XI to understand the file we use the FCC Parameters.

Hi,

If you want to send the Integration Engine or the PCK a text file with complex data structures that are to be converted into an XML document, choose File Content Conversion and make the required entries for conversion under Content Conversion Parameters

Hi Devi,

File Content Conversion is used to Convert XML file to Flat File(Text File) at the receiver side.

File Content Conversion Module can be used in various adapters(File Adapter,JDBC Adapter).

What is File Content Conversion?

File content conversion is used for converting flat files (fixed lenght, comma seperated) into XML messages for further processing by an integration engine. The internal XI processing (mapping, routing etc) is based on XML messages hence you need messages to be converted to XML.

SAP By default understands xml data structure. If your file is coming in an xml format you can process it as it is.

In case of file that is coming with a delimiter then you need to have File content conversion for SAP adpater to conver file into an XML structure which will then go to next step of Message Mapping.

You can covert the flat file format to XML files and vice versa which is required for mapping format using FCC parameters available in the adapter.

Hello,

U have FCC option in Sender & Receiver File Adapter.

U can use this option when ur Source or Target is Text File.
