Variant configuration details in Purchase O/PR which is generated from Sale

Hi

Could someone expain in details how/what to set up such that purchase order / purchase req has the variant configuration details from the sales order.

The scenario:

The sales order has the varaint configuration details. Purchase order created from this sales order. The purchase order should automatically have the variant configuration details. What needs to be done for this to happen.

I have good understanding of Class, Characteristics, dependency etc..

We have a working model of production order from the sales order.

I have also gone through quite a few solution in the network but none explain how/what steps needs to be done such that VC data is transfered from sales order to purchase order/ req.

Could the expert please expalin and help.

Thanks

Harish
