Item Cat of MTO in SO

hi all,

When I put Make-to-Order (MTO) material in SO and save the SO, the Item Cat cannot be changed anymore.

Can we make it open for change because sometimes user need to change it from TAN to TANN (Free of charge). Now we can only reject the item (Need to delete corresponding production order) and add a new item

Hi,

In the tcode VOV4 maintain TANN in the field "

Default item category for the document" for ur entry which is triggaring in the sales order.

I mean the item cat field is grayed and cannot be changed for MTO case

(We have TAN and TANN maintained correctly in VOV4)

Hi

I suppose you cannot change the item caregory once it is determined for a material in the order and you save the order.

It again depends on the settings maintained in VOV4.

For MTS we can change the itemCat after we saved the SO but for MTO we can't

Both of them use TAN for charge item and TANN for free of charge item

I wonder where to config to make such difference

In VOV4 select ur entry and beside TAN add TANN.

I have added both in VOV4............

In SO for MTS or MTO case, I can pop up the item cat and see TAN and TANN

For MTS case, we can change it from TAN to TANN

For MTO case, we can't change it because the item cat field is gray and not open for change...........
