The make to order business process scenario ????

Hello All

I want to know how the make to order sales order is transferring material requirement to the material planning and then to the production

I want a clear scenario shows how is that business process is going

And I want know after creating the make to order sales order where to check that the production order is created with reference to the sales order

I have IDES so if an example scenario with master data will be much better as I can see it live on the system

Thanks in advance

Hi Jacopo,

MTO Scenario:

Firstly the MTO material will have the Strategy as 20 in the MRP 3 screen and the Availability Check indicator as 02 (Individual requirement). This is linked with the Requirement Class of the Transfer of Requirements/Availability check. The Requirement Class is assigned to the Requirement Type. This in turn is assigned to Schedule Lines (Item Category+MRP Type).

This is how the requirement gets transferred from the Sales Order to the Production Planning.

If you will make a MTO Order then in the Sales Order -Procurement Tab you will find the Requirement Type as KEK- Individual Orders.

As soon as the order is created it gets reflected in the Stock Requirement List (MD04) in PP. Based on this the PP people will run the MRP run by MD02 or MD50.

After the Production is complete and Confirmed the stock is updated, we can do the delivery.

Hope this clears your doubt.

Regards,

Karthik.
