DSO Rule Group

What is the purpose of a DSO rule group?

But still not clear.

I am trying to establish if I have a Key Figure and a set of variants of this key figure i.e. Count last 7 days, count 7 - 14 days etc.

Is this an example of when to use a Rule Group
