steps for split valuation
activate the valuation category in your plant
activate the valuation type for the valuation category
aasign the account refernce category to valuation type
assign the valuation category to your material master in accounting view
then create the material master with same code but mentioning the valuation type in there

Hi Expert,
I am havibg a situation.
My client has implemented Split valuation. Now when he do a migo for a Subcontracting order he's facing issue for entring the valuation type for the Child Item for the finished good every time. The system is picking up the valuation type automaitcally for the finished good but not for the child item.
Both the Finished good & the child item has more than one valuation type.
But system picks automatically for the Finished good & not for the Child item.
Now as theoutput of MIGO will be used for barcode printing the client has to enter the valuation type each & every time the migo is done which is ganna be a hectic thing.
Please suggest a resolution in this regards.
Regards,
Vivek

Hi
Goto the material master , in the accounting1 view of the material please check if you have maintained the Valuation category for the material.
If not maintained , maintain the same using MM02.
Now goto MM01 & extend the materials with the valuation type used for the Valuation category.
Thanks & Regards
Kishore

Hi,
I think you have activated split valuation but you didnt maintain the valuation category in the Parent Accounting -1 view of the material and child Accounting views for the Valuation types.

Hi,
Did you maintain the Valuation category and Valuation types and Assignment of valuation category to Org levels in customization?
If not first you make all the customization settings
Then you can maintain the parent acc view using val. category and child acct views for all the valuation types under the val category
Remember to use MAP in parent act view
Regards
Is split valuation is avtive for that material?
Otherwise give the message no..
