Hi folks,
I have two printers.one is local printer (ptr01) & another printer (ptr02) is not local.
In VL03n, i am going for ( outbound delivery ->issue delivery output ) . Then i need to select one output type. Then i can print
that document.
i have two output types (PL01 & ZL01). PL01 is for script & ZL01 is for smartforms.
If i change the printer name in print options while printing in VL03n, it's printing for SAP SCRIPTS but it's not printing for SMARTFORMS.
For SAP SCRIPTS, i can print in ptr01 & ptr02 printer but
In smartform, After changing the printer name(ptr02) also, the print is going to default local printer i.e ptr01.
So, is it possible to print the smartform with the printer which are not local? it's urgent.
Ur answer will be rewarded.
Thanks
pabi
Hi,
Check out in NACE for the output type ZL01 whether the smartform is assigned to that output type or not . If it is assigned you have to remove the script name from that output medium.Make sure that your output type you are printing is having only smartform name driver program name and the form routine name.
Thanks,
NN.

Hello.
Smartforms can print to system printers like Scripts do. There is no difference.
However, I had a similar problem once. Sometimes, when you print smarforms in a non local printer, the font and paragraphs are not interpreted same way, and can cause to give errors.
To check that, verify, in message screen of VL03n, if there is an error message (red message). If yes, presso de "?" to see the log.
VL03n->Extras->Delivery Output->Header->mark red message->press Processing log button.
Best regards.
Valter Oliveira.
