hi

we are creating internal personnel no.these nos are coming automatically .these numbers are started from 100.but there are some numbers which are assigned to employees started from 6000.those numbers are created by our previous team.so can u tell how they created these numbers.i have asked this question previously. they told me that those numbers are external numbers. if external then how can we create these external numbers.tell me in detail the manupath &settings.

HI ,

Are u asking about applicant no. or Employee no.?

Well I think ur previous team may have created a separate number range with they used and which was active at that time.

Now a new no. range is created by ur team and now this is active.

In Recruitement

Recruitment -> Basic Settings -> Create number ranges for applicant numbers

here create a no. range and give it an identifier like 01, 02 etc

Choose number ranges

In this node u specify which no. range is active.

The one u specify here will be used.

i checked pa04.then i clicked intervals.in maintain number range intervals screen there are 3 numbers like

fromno to number current number ext

1 00000001 00000999 207 box in grey

2 00001000 00009999 box in white

with tickmark

3 00010000 99999999 box in white

with tick mark

number 1 is in yellow colour. then i checked pe03 .there 01 is attached to NUMKR.from this i got that the personnel number is internal. so it is coming automatically.like 206,207 etc.

but there are some numbers like 6001 ,6002 which are created by our previous team. at that time how they did.if they create external number then now how it became internal.

i tried to select 02 number range and attached 02 to NUMKR but system is not taking.it is written at the bottom that 01 is internal.so can u clear me that once it is selected as internal it cannot be changed?if not then how our previous team create 6000to6020 ? i am confused. pls clear me out.points will be given.

thanks for your answer.

i tried it.but it wrote at the bottom of the create action screen that number range 01 is internal.dont enter a personnel number.

i gave 02 as number range& in NUMKR feature i added 02 to the nod. still now i am confused. please suggest me. rewards will be given
