Upgrade from 4.6B/4.6D Kernel to ECC6 on Windows 2003

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade the SAP 4.6B production system to ECC6 and we seek

your support to find the answers for some of the doubts that we have at

this moment.

1) Can we straightaway upgrade the existing version (4.6B/Kernel 4.6D) to ECC6 on Windows 2003 ?

We are on 4.6B with Kernel 4.6D on windows 2000 with SQL Server 2000 right now.

Our concern is ECC 6 does not support on windows 2000 and 4.6B does not

support on windows 2003 therefore do we have to first upgrade the

system to ECC5/Windows 2000 and then ECC5/Windows2003 to ECC6 ?

2) Note 156558 - Released SAP Kernel 4.6x MS SQL Server operat.

sys.

The above OSS note says 4.6B/4.6D kernel supports on windows 2003 32BIT3. What exactly you mean by u201C32 BIT 3u201D?

Appreciate if you can kindly help us to get those doubts clarified Thank you in advance.
