configurable material error

Good Morning,

I am working on configurable material. I created characteristics, class, variant pricing.

In sales order, I got this error "Configuration not possible for material XX"

Material type is configurable type. Why is system responding as "configuration not possible for material"

Did you maintain configuration profile for your material?

If not, go to transaction CU41 and assign your configurable material XX to 'Class' you created.

Create material with material type KMAT,

basic data 1: x configurable material

MRP Group:25

MRP Type:PD

MRP Lot size:EX

Availabilty check:2

Stragic group:25

itm category droup:0002 or 0004-sales

Assign variant class- class

Deifne order change profile:work schduling

Then it will work

check the class type. it should be 003 not 001

Hi,

Pls check if the material type is KMAT or any custom material type which is relevant for configuration.

Check fi the class is assigned to the configuration profile of the material

Check if the material type has the Configurable button ticked on in the tcode OMS2. If not done, please tick it , create a new material and then check it.

in the MM02 enter the material number and select the BASIC DATA 1 tab page scroll down u will have a option like

material is configurable select here
