Former Member

I set a static ip on my router with NAT. I successfully connected and saw the list of companies or DBs but it prompted me for the License Server IP. I re-enter the static IP but still showing the error msg

"connection to the Licence server failed (60070-15)"

Need any assistance on this matter.

Thank you in advance

Raleigh

Dear,

Please first refer to note 1142479, which explains the

license server connection failed error; caused by

stoping TAO NT Naming service.

Is the TAO NT Naming Service in server stoped when the error

happens in customer's environment?

(To access this service, right-click the My Computer

icon and choose Manage -> Services.)

If the TAO Naming Service is stopped, please right click the

TAO NT Naming Service, then open the properties

and set it to auto-restart.

If the TAO NT Naming Service is started then the issue may caused by

other root causes.

1- Please check if the ports 30000 and 30001 is not blocking (Check the

SAP note 960879)

2- Check if have any kind of anti-virus and firewall run between server and client. If so,is there any log when error happens?

3- Please remove and re-install the server tools again.

4- Please enable the write to log function in the setting of license manu and check is there any related information loged when error happens.

5- Please check is there any related information logged in windows eventlog when error happens.

Wish the information above is useful for you.

Hi Raleigh,

Please check the connection between the client and the server, the server must listen on 30000 and 30001 TCP/IP ports. These ports are in use via the license communication.

Hi Krisztián,

Thank you for your reply, I included both ports 30000 and 30001 on my rules but still getting the 60070-15 error. Is there anything else to do for this?

Thank you in advance,

Raleigh

We have a client with network address translation (NAT) and the client computers will not be able to connect to the SAP B1 license server.

The only way to resolve this was to abandon NAT - you might want to look into that.

Hi Raleigh,

The communication with the license server in 2005 version is not based on permanent port but it changes dynamically. Therefore, the license server should not be "protected" by any firewall. We recommend installing the license service behind the NAT firewall.
