In MM03, can you configure the display layout of the "document data" tab?

In MM03 on the document data tab, we would like to shorten the length of the "document" column so that the Status field can be viewed on initial screen without scrolling to the right. Is it possible to reconfigure this view?

Hi Heidi,

to change the layout of the linked documents in transaction MM03 please go to the additional data tab and then please use the small configurations button (small table icon on the right side) and follow the below instructions:

1. Configure the table control as you want it.

2. Click the settings button at the top of the table control.

3. Enter a name and chhose "Create".

4. If you want this variant to appear whenever the table control appears, set the "Use as default setting" option.

5. Choose "Copy" to close the dialog box.

If you want to change how existing variants are used, or want to reactivate the basic setting, choose the corresponding settings from the list boxes and choose 'Copy' to close the dialog box.

Best regards,

Christoph

P.S.: Please reward points for useful information.

Hi,

I am aware of the Configuration icon and that a user can create a variant and set as a default. However, my users want the screen to appear this way as a default for all users, and I am trying to find out if this is possible. When looking at the help for the Configuration icon you mentioned, it has the following note at the bottom:

Notes

As well as user-specific variants, there are also System variants, which

are visible to all userse in the current client (although user-defined

variants, where they exist, override system variants). You can edit them

using the 'Administrator' function (see the help on the relevant

screen).

I believe I want a "system variant", but I have no idea what this "Administrator" function is.... any idea how to access this to create a system variant?

thanks,

Heidi

Hi Heidi,

I think this is something only the system administrator is able to do. Therefore you have to change the

'Basic settings' in table control. The administrator has to change the 'Basic settings' which must be configured to make the setting valid for all users. This setting must be configured as an administrator and

saved specifically under 'Basic Setting' (at the time of configuration Current Settings and Standard Setting must be set to 'Basic Setting'). This should be selected as the standard setting for the user in which you also perform the tests.

Best regards,

Christoph
