FM which returns the Root org

Hi,

Is there any FM which returns the Root organisation ID maintained in the Org structure in trascn PPOMA_BBP?

FM "BBP_OM_DETERMINE_COMPANY" returns the company for a user but I want a FM which returns the Org id(root) which may not necessarily be a company.

All responsed will be awarded with points!

Hi. I am not sure if this would be ideal, but you could create a custom attribute in table T77OMATTR called "Root Node".

Then you could flag this with an X in PPOMA_BBP.

Then you could select from table HRT1222 where your new attribute = X.

Hello,

I don't know exactly how runs FM RH_STRUC_GET_MULTIPLE_ROOTS, but with FM RH_STRUC_GET set values below:

- ACT_OTYPE = 'O',

- ACT_OBJID = the OU from which you want to start,

- ACT_WEGID = 'A002',

- ACT_PLVAR = '01'.

In this way, you will have in:

- table RESULT_TAB, only OU upper then ACT_OBJID till the root,

- table RESULT_STRUC, same as above but starting from ACT_OBJID .

Hi,

I stumbled using the RH_STRUC_GET_MULTIPLE_ROOTS, it seems it returns all the hierarchial connection of the given O (ORGEH) number.

Provided that i gave a single ORGEH number in TABLES parameter ROOT_OBJECTS. It gave all the parent of the parent of the org unit until it reaches the top org unit.

Hope this helps.
