Varient configuration

Dear all,

My client req is.....we r using configurable material

while entering the order ...User do not want to select charecterstic values..

Just he wants to enter Item code...system has to take all relevant Components..

after ,if it may got any amendments.....user needs to select the values at this time...

How can i

Use defaults. Look up how to use defaults in this forum and via web searches. They'll still be taken to the configuration screen, but at least this way they can just [Green arrow] back to the order w/out making selections. Sounds like they may not really need VC, or just don't understand how it really works.

Wot you said is Exactly ...

My doubt is..it's purely VC .but before select the varients how can i finalise the Item code....

If i finalise the Item code...it's may be comes to Bill of material...

any body .on this....
