Error assigning datasource to application component

Hi all,

I've created an application component, created the infosources and am now trying to assign the datasource.

When I type in the source system created earlier I the following error message.

InfoObj. 0STARTLEVEL from fld STARTLEVEL of dataSource C09_CU_HIER is not active but BCT ex. -> Dtl

I looked at the expanded help/diagnosis and see this

Diagnosis

The InfoObject 0STARTLEVEL should be assigned to field STARTLEVEL of DataSource C09_CU_HIER.

This InfoObject is not active. Nevertheless, it does exist in the Business Content.

Procedure

To comply with this message, you can go to the Administrator Workbench -> Goto -> Install Business Content

and transfer the InfoObject 0STARTLEVEL from the Business Content into the active version. If you leave after

activating Install Business Content, another attempt will then be made to create transfer rules.

Can anyone give me some ideas as to what the problem is? I am relatively new to SAP BW.

Thanks!

Gary

Yep, I think if I knew more about SAP BW then I'd be able to do it. I'm still at the follow instructions stage, without much deep understanding of what it is I'm doing.

I'll carry on rooting around and see if I can suss out the problem, also I have lots of colleagues in India who may be able to help too.

      Thanks again
