COPA document was not generating for MTO scenario

Hi,

I configured COPA and for MTS (Make to Stock) it is working fine. And also creating COPA document.

But COPA document was not generating for the Make to order scenario (MTO).

I created one material and its release strategy is MTS. It worked finely for COPA.

After i changed this release stragety as MTO and now the copa document was not generating.

Please guide me in this scenario

Just to add to what Ravi has said in case of MTS you get record type F in COPA when the invoice is released to accounting

In case of MTO when you settle the sales order to COPA a record type C gets created in COPA

My client is implementing MTO non valuated stock.

Could you please explain me step by step process in configuration and specific module configuration and master data setup (Like Item category,Material master data,BOM,etc..) and step by step business process(like cost estimate(CK40N),WIP,Variance and settlement)..

any help is appreciated and i will assign points...

Hi Sateesh,

In MTO scenario, system would not post any COPA document at the time of billing....

Once you done the dilling ,system updates the sales order with revenues in actual column.

As a process, all the cost and revenues would be collected first to Sales order and then next it would be settled from Sales order to CO-PA.

T code for sales order settlement is VA88.
