Hello Everyone,

I have one requirement where I have to create an upload program to load the certificate profiles (T-Code: QC01). In order to fulfill this requirement, we are going via the BDC approach.

In BDC recording (SHDB, default screen ticked), I am adding more than 15 characteristics and save the certificate. The certificate gets saved and now the recording is generated, now when I save the BDC recording then I get a message "BDC_INSERT, internal data area for dynpro .BDC_INSERTSAPMQCPA. too small". (PFA) bdc-insert-error.jpg

I am unable to resolve this issue. Please help me out so that I can finish my coding and do the delivery.

Did you use OK_CODE = 'POSI' during your recording of the characteristics tab?

Please use the program mentioned in the following url: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1502119

It works with minor adjustments suited to your case.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for quick response, this related to BASIS issue and once BASIS increased the memory, the T-code (SHDB) worked perfectly fine. However, once we transferred the recording to a report program, we had to comment out one line from the recording which is as shown below.

PERFORM bdc_field USING 'BDC_CURSOR' 'QCVMEA-CHARACT_ID1(01)'.

We were able to find the root cause via excessive de-bugging. Hence I will be closing this thread and marking this answer as assumed.
