Track mateiral qty by currency ?

Hi Experts,

Really need your help for one case. Now we need apply for Customs for our parts which is bought by USD.

In our warehouse, we have seperated the location which one is for USD parts, another is for CNY parts. for one part , it could have stock in CNY and USD location both. But when warehosue provide matierials to production line, currently, we place materials into one location on production. So we will not know when operators build the products, if it use CNY part or USD part.

We hope to know each product matieral usage , about CNY or USD part qty.

How we could configure to meet such request? We once plan to setup new location in production line too, like for one part, two location - usd and cny. but if that, operator may need modify locaiton when they do backflush or confirmation production order , This will confuse them

Thanks for help. Currently, our situation is when mateiral move into our prouction line location, we don't know which part is bought by CNY, which is bought by USD. So we may plan to seperate two location for one part, like one location name CNY to place part A which is bought by CNY, antoehr locaiton named USD to place part A which is bought by USD. But if that, when operator build product, they need manually change issue location? Any auto way? Or other solution?

we need know when we build one product , how many raw materials it used, eg: Part A use CNY 100 EA(100 EA puchased from CNY), Parts A also maybe use 50 EA as USD (which part is bought by USD)

For serial number, does that mean every raw material, we need input serial number to track it? (actually, it will increase more workload) for this serial number , it maintain is material master, Does this cross-plant function? Or when warehosue receive materials, dose it also need input serial number ?

MC.1 could track how many qty move in one location ,right? We need track how many qty which part is bought from USD/ CNY have been consumed for one product.

Use t.code MC.1 you get the stock quantity and stock valuation.

Dear Alice

Tracking of any material consumption can be possible by using Serial Numbers.

You can maintain the serial number profile in material master for this type of materials. Use Manual Serial Numbers. This will help you in maintaining different number range for CNY and USD parts.

Whenever this material is issued against any production order, then system will ask for the serial number. Use the appropriate serial number at the time of issuing this component.

Then by using T-code IQ02 / IQ03 one can track the history of serial number.

Similarly you can develop one Y-report for having the complete history of production order with the material consumed and serial number used.
