Sales Support Block in the account header and in the account Sales Data- What is the Difference????

Dear experts,

I will be glad to know what is the difference between the Sales Support Block indicator in the account's header level and the Sales Support Block in the account Sales Data level?

Functionality wise we noticed that the Sales Support Block in the account's header level blocks from creating any other BO related to the blocked account.

About the Sales Support Block indicaor in the account's Sales Date, we didn't notice for any change in the blocked account or other BO's related t this accout behaviour.

Thanks,

Daniel.

Hello Daniel,

Based on my knowledge, the sales block at header level will block, as already mentioned by you, any other transactional document related to the blocked account.

The sales block in the sales data facet will block the documents, but only those created for that particular sales organization. That is why the system does not instantly prompt the error message (Sales Support block set for...) while trying to create a new opportunity for e.g., since it is waiting to check it against the sales data combination

So, if you have account ABC having sales org BE01, distribution channel: Direct and another line sales org UK01, and you have the sales support block on BE01 you will:

- be able to create a document for Account ABC, sales org UK01

- be able to create a document for Account ABC, sales org BE01, no distribution channel (if it's not mandatory).

Kind regards,

Carina.

The real semantics of sales support block indicator is to block all sales related transaction (Activities , Tasks , appointments etc) for a customer along with Leads, Opportunities, Sales Quotes and Sales Orders..
