Download plant to CRM in a Sales Order

Hi Gurus! I have a question. I now that I can select a plant during a CRM sales order creation, choosing a vendor BO and this will be upload to ECC as a plant. But, what if I want to do the other way around? I create a sales order in SAP ECC, I choose a plant and I want to reflect it in the CRM Sales order that is generated. Is there any way to download this information to CRM?

    Hi Ignacio,

As you must be aware that the plants flow into CRM as a Business Partner. And in CRM sales Order the plants can be maintaied as partner function Vendor.

If you want the R/3 sales order getting replicated with plant information, I doubt if this can be achieved. It will have to update the Partners tab at the header/item level. May be you can try with some Dataexchange BADI.

There is a SAP Note for using the Plant in Sales Orders.

Plants are assigned as Sales Order's Partner function "Vendor" . Maintain the relevant mapping in the Middleware configuration to transfer the partner function to R/3. System automatically converts the Vendor to relevant R/3 plant during middleware transfer. Plants are maintained as CRM Partner and you can view the relationships between R/3 plant and CRM BP in table CRMV_LOC_MAP.

    Good luck.

    hi Ignacio

yes shalini was absolutely right in saying that previously it was a challenge replicating the sales order with plant

but there is a standard solution for this,it goes like

"Plants are assigned as Sales Order's Partner function "Vendor" . Maintain the relevant mapping in the Middleware configuration to transfer the partner function to R/3. System automatically converts the Vendor to relevant R/3 plant during middleware transfer. Plants are maintained as CRM Partner and you can view the relationships between R/3 plant and CRM BP in table CRMV_LOC_MAP.,

    it will serve your purpose"

    best regards

OK, I am aware that if you assign a Vendor in a CRM Sales Order, it will be converted to a plant in SD if all neccesary mapping is done. I have done that, everything is working out. But my doubt it is about the other way around, I mean, how to convert a SD plant to a CRM partner function vendor when downloding a Sales Order from SD to CRM. I dont know if it is a standard solution for that, and that is what I am asking.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best regards,

    Ignacio
