Hi All,

I am new to HANA EIM SDI\SDQ and exploring on the below points:

1. Is there any way we can check that whether the (Date column contains a date or not) OR (Integer column contains an integer or not ) OR (decimal column contains decimal or not). Solution for these is available through in build function in SAP BODS like IS_DATE, IS_DECIMAL etc. Need help for the such similar functions or approach in SDI

2. We have Lookup in SDI as transform but can we use this as a in-built function in filter transform to avoid multiple lookup transform in flowgraph in case we need to look up multiple values.

Hello Shagun,

The available functions in SDI are the same as the available functions in HANA: SAP HANA SQL and System Views Reference

There are numerous datetime functions available, and conversion function to_date as well. I don't see a direct analog to the is_* functions from BODS. It looks like you are validating the data types in your example, is that right? Or are you just checking for null values?

With regard to lookup functions, HANA doesn't use that as a function, so SDI implemented it as a flowgraph node. There is no way to perform a lookup within a filter node. The filter node's expression editor is detailed here: SDI Modeling Guide.
