What is the line item dimension?where you can define?
I think the line item dimension means - the distribution rules (see financials>cost accountings>dimension [here you have to know how to create distribution rules]) selected in the line items at the time of journal entries or the profit centers at the time of marketing documents.
-OR-
the height, width, etc. (see inventory>item master>purchase/sales data) in the marketings documents for the items.
N.B.
See the desired field of the line items (generally the content tab of any doc) from the form settings>table format of the concerned document.
Thanks n regards

I think Dimension is a 2005B financial parameter, under Financials, Cost Accounting. I have not seen it in 2005a.

Hi, Viswnadha Reddy
Do you mean dimensions in the item master data ?
if yes, on tab sales and tab purchase, there are 5 dimensions you could define for every items, based on help file, their definitions as follows:
tab sales:
height, width, length and volume
These dimensions refer to the selling unit, not the base unit.
Enter the dimensions of the sales item. If you defined the units of measurement when you configured the system, enter the measurements and press TAB; the system automatically copies the measurements of the sales item to the field.
In addition, enter the values for the length, width, and height to calculate the volume of the item. Alternatively, enter the volume value without entering the length, width, or height.
weight:
Enter the weight of the item. Enter the weight followed by the weight measure.
