I develop the above screen with the BSP tool link ...etc,but as per business requirement needed same above screen for m e to upload the flat please need your help me resolve my problem.
Can you clarify the purpose of the file upload form? Where will the file be loaded to, the BI Platform? How will the file be used after it is uploaded?
the purpose of the flat file upload in Design Studio for Planning purpose ,after records are loaded we are using functions or custom functions and final all records are stored in BW/BI cube.
Can you clarify what you mean by “after records are loaded”? Are you talking about loading the records of the flat file? Where to? And how do you expect to process the flat file in your Design Studio application?
Given that you are using the planning functionality, how come you are not loading the flat file data directly into BW for subsequent consumption in your planning application?
Under standard functionality Design Studio does not have the capability to allow you to perform a file upload via a scripted form or to manipulate the data in such a file. Can you be very clear about EXACTLY how you need to process the file?
This is my point. Design Studio does not support flat file upload for BW Integrated Planning, nor does it support flat file upload directly into BW. You only have the following two options:
1) Upload the flat files to BW using ETL or BW Workspaces; or
2) Use BW Integrated Planning directly instead of a Design Studio planning application.
Thanks for your response to Design Studio issue, can you provide details why we are unable to upload the file in Design Studio (environment Design Studio 1.6,SP4), please let me know any further tools are supports flat file upload except BW/BI-IP. As per Business Requirement I have to upload the flat file compulsory in Design Studio, if you have any other methods please tell me.
As I have stated before, Design Studio does not have a file upload feature built into to it as part of the standard functionality for the purposes of supporting integrated planning.
While performing a file upload may be a mandatory requirement, you will need to communicate to your users that Design Studio simply is not the right tool for this.
If you are already using BW-IP why can’t you use the Web Dynpro upload approach described in the blog post I previously mentioned?
