Config document for RTC on S4HANA 1709 FSP0

Any idea as to why the data from ACDOCA isn't read into UNION view which is called into Virtual provider and composite provider? While we can post and read records from ACDOCC but not able to read records from ACDOCA. We have tested the foundation view for Actual. In there, we can read the actual data from ACDOCA but not further upwards.

Hi Amit,

The error message is complaining the usage of RTC_C_GLACCOUNT, this is a HANA Calc view for Master data, not transaction data, so it should not appear in this place, if you try copy from template in Data source toolbar, you can see the recommended view should be RTC_C_CONS_ACCT_M. This could be the root cause. Please check.

Hi Leila,

Yes you are right. We did the same thing during trial and error and it worked.

But is it possible to have an exhaustive document of all such configs so that we don't have to go for trial and error.

There are many such open or unexplained settings for which we are struggling (as mentioned in last comment).

Could you please look into this.

Yes, with that view it is working.

This was just one of the issue.

There are many such places where there is no mention on help site for the configuration. Like

1. There is no mention of union of which infoproviders / calculation views are to be taken in composite provider. It mentions BPCUNION at one place but we can see no data in it.

2. While mapping HANA fields in virtual provider, we have to map RBUKRS to comp code but no such field are available.

3. There are many changes made in 1709 from 1610 like version related fields, task sequences, RTC model for which there are some points where there are missing.

Please make sure documentation team covers all such open points.

I think as of 1709 foundation views are not required, or at least that is what I understand from the online help. Please let me know if you have specific questions that are not covered in the online help and I can investigate them and add them to the content. I found the following excerpt from this link

"As of SAP S/4HANA 1709, you no longer need to create consolidation foundation views to use as the basis for all consolidation tasks in a consolidation model before creating the RTC model, because four default foundation views are pre-delivered by SAP.

Below example foundation views are provided for your reference. You can copy it to your own SAP HANA package, and adjust it per your own requirements.

Dear Leila,

I have already seen this help but there are some settings / configs missing in this help portal.

E.g. While creating model in RTCMD, what foundation view to be used for GL Account. There are multiple foundation views available for that and we have to go with trial and error to make sure views are correctly generated.

I was expecting a document like we had for RTC 1610 in pdf form with screenshots.

It would be really helpful if it is made available.
