Assign Picking Locations

Hi,

the customizing function "Assign Picking Locations" is related to deliveries and return deliveries ?

I set: LE > Shipping > Picking > Determine Picking Location > Assign Picking Locations

How and in what user trxs it works ?

I don't understand where are used the above settings
