Hi Nilesh,

In the standard planning planning type is predefined like SOPKAPA, SOPKAPAM. These planning type are created with LIS of SO76.

T Code MC87

Or u can create ur own planning type with reference of standard planning type.

T Code : MC8A.

In the flexible planning first u have to create LIS, but this is configuration thing because when ever u create ur own LIS system creates automatically table and this is cross client.

In this u have select what are Characteristic, key figures required.

then u have to create planning type which is always start with Z.

T CODE :MC93.

Hello,

Normally SOP is used for planning.

In standard SOP , we work with infostructure s076.

Here the rows you are getting with the charactrestics are fixed as per the inormation structure.

But, for doing the planning you may require different characteristics. It is also required that you want to do the planning based on sales organisation level. For example , region wise planning i.e. north ,east , west.

Flexible planning can be based on the information structure of your choice.

Here you can define planning hiearchies.

In fexible planning the content of the planning table is also user defined. In std. SOP the S076 information structure is used and you will not able to chenge the planning table.

please revert if clerification required.

Reward , if useful.
