Hi SAP Gurus,

Iam getting error in decimal places, iam using SAP ECC 6.0, when iam trying to change the decimal places in T-Code OY04 from 3 to 2 it shows the following error Use another input value, Message no. SG108, it is taking decimal places 1,4,5 & so on but it is not taking decimal place 2.

In Indian accounting system we will do accounting with up to 2 decimal places.

Requested you to kindly guide me how to change decimal places from 3 to 2.

Amitabh

Hi Amitabh,

If you want to keep the 2 decimal places only. You no need to maintain any entry in the OY04 table.

Just remove the entry from that table for that currency.

System automatically takes only 2 decimals.

The error message what you are getting is says that only. If you want to change from 3 to any number , you can enter 1 4 or 5 only. You can not enter 2, because SAP by default reserved that option of 2.

So just remove entry from that table and it will automatically takes as 2 decimals.

Hi Ravi,

Thanks for reply, i have already done that but it is not working, if iam removing 3 decimal place from OY04 then the system is taking as no decimal places have been assigned so it is not taking any decimal place i.e. it is taking 0 decimal place.

For Eg. earlier it is comming as 100,000.000 with 3 decimal place but after removing decimal place it is showing as 100,000 & not 100,000.00

Request you to look for some other solution & guide me.

Amitabh,

SAP standard format has given as 2 decimal places only. If users want to add more than 2 decimal places , then we need to add in OY04.
