Hi all,
I'm unable to import RSDS transformation from BW Dev system to BW production system, even though transport request was successfully imported.
1. Complete Data flow assigned to one TR, and imported into BW production system, TR was imported successfully, but RSDS transformation was not imported.
a) I selected Overwrite Option and imported again but RSDS transformation was not imported.
2. I assigned only RSDS transformation for one TR, and imported (with/ with out Over write) into Production system, But not imported.
3. This happens only for ECC data sources. But for Flat file Datasources RSDS transformations are imported successfully.
Is there any Settings to do in ECC/BW systems.
kindly help me to resolve.
Hi,
please share warning message.
source and target name is same as data source?
please share transformations icon screen shot(from RSA1 data flow tree between source and target,) from dev and prod systems.
Thanks

Hi Vijay,
please collect transformations only from bw dev system and move to production system.
Before transporting, please re - do below steps again.
1. Replicate data source from EC production to BW production.
2. Activate BW prod data source.
3. you can transport transformations from bw dev to bw prod.
After transport, please recheck whether its in active or not.
at production system, Have you tried to activate transformations by using program RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE, lets try it once and see.
if not solved form above points, please ask basis team to check about Transformations(RSTRAN) related tables, whether those are properly exist at production system or not. lets compare prod table with bw dev and qas.
Thanks

Hi Raman,
I did following steps as you suggest:
1. Replicated 2LIS_02_SCL data source and activated
2. In Dev system also data, Transformations are in active and executable mode
3. RSDS Transformation assigned to TR and imported to prod system successfully (With Yellow status)
4. But RSDS transformation not appearing in data flow (data source to target (0PUR_C01)).
5. I tried program RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE, while executing this it showing "No Massages Exists".
--> How can I expose this issue to Basis team.
Thanks & Regards
Kumar.
Hi Vijay,
After transporting active bw dev transformations to bw prod system, what is transport status- green or warning or error ?
at bw production system, is your source and target objects are active?
Thanks

Hi Vijay,
Before transporting transformations, at BW Production, is your data source is replicated from ECC Production system, migrated to 7.x and active version? if yes then you can transport your transformations from BW dev to bw production system.
i hope you saved bw dev active transformations into custom package.
please check at BW Production system, your related ECC data source is active in bw production system?
Thanks.

HI Raman,
--> All Data sources are replicated successfully.
--> All are 7.x data flow and data sources are in Active version.
--> Active transformation was assigned to custom Package. (TRFN transformation doesn't have any problem, Only with RSDS).
--> RFC connection is also active.
Is there any settings to do in BW/ECC production. or any SAP Note available for this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Kumar.
Hi Raf Boudewijns,
All Source system conversion are maintained correctly.
in RSTRAN table one transformation have four versions: Active, Modified, Inactive and Transport version.
When I'm importing New RSDS transformation TR request, new time stamp is updating in RSTRAN table but changes are not replicated in Production system.
Thanks & Regards,
Kumar.
