Control inspection lot

Dear experts,

We have an inspection type active on goods receipt of a material with the control of the inspection lot set at "2 for each material, batch and storage location" at the material level.

The scenario is that a batch is purchased, gets an inspection lot at goods receipt, and the same batch is later on send to a repacker who sends the batch again to us (same batch number, same material). Is it normal that a second inspection lot is then created at goods receipt? I was convinced that with the settings, this should not occur...

Any help on how to solve this?

If it is the same material, batch and storage location, then no.. you shouldn't get a second inspection lot.

Exceptions:

1. The first inspection lot is still open

2. The first inspection lot failed.

Thanks! I was convinced that it should also work wih open inspection lots, but apparantly it doesn't...
