perhaps a bit more information would be helpful?

1. Are you trying to print centrally (to a printer connected to your SAP system) or locally (to the user)?

2. are you using webgui or wingui in your solution? (either way you are going to need front side printing enabled.

Hi Haydn,

I expalin you the requirement in detail...

I have created a Transaction Iview for ABAP report.

Now any EP user who is sitting in his home is accessing this IView and he wants to take the printout of this report in his localy connected printer.

How to give a print option to the end user to take the report?

Please help,

Thanks in Advance...

you need to configure with SPAD to provide a front end printer (its a specific configuration) for users to access.

You might find this

a good place to start.

Hope it helps

Thanks Haydn,

But my problem is that, there may be no of users will be accessing this report. user will not be having SAP GUI installed in his machine. He will be accessing Transaction IView after login in EP (from any where may be from cyber cafe) and He would like to take printout using any button on the screen.

So suppose any end user having only Internet Explorer installed in his machine, will he be able to take the print out. I think its very genuine requirement.

OR user can not take print out untill SAP GUI is installed in his machine???

Please suggest...

Thanks in advance...

The user can print locally with or without sapgui - that is immeterial. IF sapgui is not an option then the output spool is converted into a PDF which the user can then print locally - just as he/she could with any local application - using any locally available printer.

As I said before, you must however set up a specific front-end printer configuration in SAP to do this. Then in order to do a print you simply select the front side printer in the normal spool options.
