Material master field selection

Hi MM consultants

can any body provide me the path for material master field selection. where we can change field for Tcode MM01

Hi,

Follow the steps for material master field selection

1.Just click the tab ,(Which is u want to be Required entry /hide as u required )and get the field name

2.Go to T.Code: OMSR and enter that field name and get Selection Group

3.1. Use t.Code: OMS2 and click your material type and in next screen check Field reference ( you have assigned for material type){{ ( example :;For ROH material type the Field reference is ROH)

3.2. Use T.code:OMS9,, Double Click your Field Reference and select field selection Group & select round box of Required Entry/hide as u required and save.

SPRO > Logistics General > Material Master > Field Selection > Maintain Field Selection for Data Screen

Remember the field selection for MM01 is Based on the Material Type & Industry Sector...

use t-code OMS9

Here you need to select Field selection group

Group of several fields to which the same field option applies. The field options are as follows:

Hide

Display

Required entry

Optional entry

Each field selection group has a number between 1 and 240.

you can get Selection group based on field. Goto MM02 / 03 press F1 on required field for which you are not able to get Field Selection Group and click on Hammer like Icon you will get Table and field name,

Based on field name you can search FIELD SELECTION GROUP
