Copying new material from old material

Hi All

Is it possible to copy around 1000 old materials to 1000 new materials keeping all the things same except the base unit of measure at one go.

If it is possible how can i know that which new material is formed against which old material. Is there any type log formed?

    Can u plz explain LSMW, BDC or SCAT in detail, if possible. I have never worked on it before.

    Hi,

    With any of the data migration tools like LSMW, BDC or SCAT you can do this.

    in this you need to specify your output material & copy from material in a text file so that you will have all the information.

    There is no stndard T. Code to do this.
