BI web reporting PDF export

Hi there

Currently use BI 7.0 SP 13 with ADS. We have problems generating approx over 200 pages of ADS-based PDF. SAP Note 1069368 suggests this is a known limitation but that a solution will be available from support stack 14.

Does anyone know if SP14 fixes this and if so is it fixed in a single software component? I'm guessing if it is it will be the sap.com/ADSSAP component? I don't really want to apply the whole of SP14 yet but do want to resolve this PDF limitation.

I've checked SAP note 1033244 (BI Java SPS14 patch delivery schedule) and it wasn't obvious if it was included.

we have also problems with reports >200-300 pages. We are now at SPS14 and already tested the SAP BI Export Library. For us it is no alternative to ADS because of the limitations - first of all that wrapping and clipping of texts is not possible!

As you can read in note 1112132 this feature will come with enhancement package 1 for BI. But, as you can read in note 1069180, there doesn't exist a delivery plan for EhP1 yet...

What is available from SP14 on is the SAP Export Library (see OSS 1112132 for closer details). We don´t have that big exports (max ~ 100 pages) but it performes

well and at least faster than ADS does it before. Since the switch between ADS & SAP Lib is just an table entry (Flag in Table RSPOR_T_PORTAL) i suggest

you should try the Upgrade to SP14 and try this alternative ....
