Cost Centers in General Ledger Report

Dear Gurus,

Can someone explains the logic behind the system design?

Example of transaction: IN 42878

When running the general ledger by displaying business partners in report, all the cost centers information are hidden (refer reference 1). However, I can find the cost centers information is displayed when running the same report to include G/L account (refer reference 2).

Reference 1:

Reference 2:

Are they correct system behavior? Please advise. Thanks 🙂

Best Regards

Hi,

Check whether the cost center is mapped in all the rows of respective journal entry.

especially check whether the const center is mapped in the Business partner line of the journal transaction. if not then update the cost center and check the general ledger report

vinoth

Hi,

This display will be based on the type of G/L Account.

Check what is the Type of Account in both the cases. if others then possibly the reason why the cost center is not displayed.

In second case due to it being Expenditure, the same is appearing.

Hi Jitin,

They are the same case only they way to display the report is different by BP & G/L Account. The type of G/L account 30002011 had been set to Sales before transaction posted, but the cost center information isn't displayed when running the general ledger to display BP.

Hi,

The BP based General Ledger as Control account involved and control account will not display the Cost Center.

Please check the same scenario in DEMO database.
