how do i input a zero quantity in my bom component? my system doesnt allow me to do so. i still need to include the said bom component, for me to view it in the production order
Hi,
Please clarify, what's the point of adding the item in the BOM if it wouldn't be use in production anyway? But if I'm guessing that you just need to see the item in the proc orders for display purposes, how about adding the BOM item as Text item, maintain the Item code there, and make the Text item as Production Relevant. In this way, if master recipe/Bom is read at the Proc Ord, BOM will reflect the text item.
Thanks.

Hello,
As per my understanding your requirement is -
you want to enter the Bom component but the PR should not be generated for the same and the component should not be planned.
You can choose the item category as Text item.
With this you will able to put your item in BOM and planning also wiil not happen.
Please revert if clarification required.
Reward if useful.

Ravindra

Hi Raf,
Enter the raw material and qty as 0.001 and base qty 1000...then the resultant qty of raw material for 1 unit of base qty will be zero and system consider it as ZERO. The advantage is you will have the item in Production order and qty is negligible.
By doing above system gives a message that resultant qty is ZERO. It is a warning message, hence can be ignored.

Hi,
You can use text item and it will be copied to your PrdOrd from BOM.
