BW/4HANA or BW on HANA to acquire Machine/Sensor Data

Hi all, currently I am looking into possible solution to stream machine or sensor data into a repository and am considering using BW/4HANA or BW on HANA solutions to do so. As I know HANA Cloud Platform does provide this functionality of IoT Service but to client's preference is to not use Cloud solution at this moment. So were thinking if the above two products do have such capabilities to do so?

Hello David,

In my Opinion neither BW/4HANA nor BW on HANA would be optimal solutions to stream machine or sensor data into directly. Either BW/4HANA or BW on HANA could receive aggregated stream or machine data from an SAP Data Hub data pipeline instead.
