Does anyone know silent SAP installation on Windows ???

Hi experts,

In our environment, we need to reinstall appservers(CI or DI) so many time like routine work.

It's long story why we've taken this solution.

Anyway ,I eager to know how to run sapisnt.exe in silent by bat script with xml file or something, it it's possible to reuse for installation.

How to run help command is appriciated as well.

Hi Masaki,

The SAP note 950619 talks about the unattended installation, also the following link has information about how to do it.

In my experience it does work pretty well, basically you only need to create a template for the inifile.xml and edit it as required.

When you mention "silent installation", I can only assume you want to

perfrom installations without having to enter the dialog information for each installation. ie. automated installs.

This procedure is not available for sapinst at this time. You can use scripts for these installations if you want, and SAP will support the resulting system, however any problems encountered during the install will not be supported by SAP
