SAP BI 4.2 SP05 : BI Launchpad : Preferences

Dear all,

A non-administrator user is not able to change the preferences in BI Launchpad :

This error occurred: "Failed. Please check the logs or contact your SAP Business Objects Administrator"

Solution found :

Grant the right "Edit Objects that the user owns" on object "Everyone" (in Users and Groups) for the principal "Everyone".

That SAP Note describes opening the "Documents" tab in BI Launchpad.

That is not the issue, I can open the "Documents"-tab successfully.

The issue we have is changing a preference (General, Web Intelligence, ...) in BI Launchpad. When we click on the button "Save", the error message is displayed :

This error occurred: "Failed. Please check the logs or contact your SAP Business Objects Administrator"
