SAP HANA Express XSA - XSA_ADMIN user keeps on getting deacivated

The XSA_ADMIN account keeps on getting locked out. I keep on reactivating but it looks like the username and incorrect password maybe stored in somewhere and being used that keeps on locking this out.

Anyone had this issue and found the reason/solution?

Thanks,

Jay

    Hi Jay,

I forwarded your issue to my colleague, don't have any updates yet.

It looks like your issue is similar to the following issue reported by others:

  • Hello Jay,

In testing, I have sometimes seen the need to use 'New incognito window' in chrome browser when connecting to some xsa applications. The incognito feature of the browser 'forgets' any previously used passwords.

Also, can you give details of what steps you took to do this: "We upgraded the HANA Express edition on AWS to 2.00.023.00.1513691289 (fa/hana2sp02)."

    Thanks

    -Andy

  • Hi Andy,

I usually start the Chrome browser sessions in the 'New incognito window'.

I was able to patch the HANA Express edition on AWS activated through the CAL system from the version there Update from version 2.00.020.00.1500920972 to 2.00.023.00.1513691289 (fa/hana2sp02) - by using the HANA Express downloader to get the latest files and then install them. There are steps on how to do this at: Updating SAP HANA, express edition

I think some process has the wrong XSA_ADMIN password cached and using this to log in and causing the lockouts. It's hard to find out what is causing this issue.

    Regards,

    Jay
