No automatic fixing defective index

In december I fixed 3 Index manually. After that I turn automatic repair of index on. Now 4 weeks later is one of the tree index defective again. Last week there was a huge load on the db server. I thought he will repair the index. After 7 days the index is already defective. Has anybody an idea how to find the root cause of a defective index ?

Hello, thanks for your help. We are using no BW or Unicode compression => UseUnicodeColumnCompression=NO.

Any ideas ? Now the index is fixed manually - running whole 1,5 days.
